Report on Nutrition Week
The school celebrated Nutrition Week from 1st Sep. 2009 to 5th Sep 2009. Students of class VIII A and VIII D gave speeches on the value of nutrition. They shared their views on all the modes of nutrition which are autotrophic, hetrotrophic and insectivores. The talks held the interest of the assembly. The Principal and Vice Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers associated with it.
The week ended with a message that one should have a balanced and a nutricious diet to maintain good health. We definitely believe in the saying
"Healthy mind lives in a healthy body"
VISIT TO MAUSAM BHAWAN
By students of class 12th E
On 10-sep-2009 our school management gave us a chance to visit MAUSAM BHAWAN which is situated at Lodhi road Delhi.Students of our class were very curious and excited for the visit.Mr. S.N.Yadav(PGT GEOGRAPHY) accompanied us.we reached Mausam Bhawan at 11am. This was a huge building. On the top of building so many towers were fixed. We entered in the building. There we met with an official of the Mausam Bhawan who helped us in enhancing our knowledge. He took us to a place where stationary instruments were fixed in the earth .The official described the names and uses of the instruments step wise. We got the following information about the instruments.

Thereafter we went to a separate part of the building where so many computers were installed. The official told us that these computers convert satellite signals into data which can be represented on maps. There are two Indian satellites
1. Insat 3A fixed at 93.5’east
2. kalpana 1 fixed at 74’east
These two satellites send signals in every 30 minutes to the computers.
At the end the official gave us the website of meteorological department i.e., www.imd.gov.in and also gave us the earthquake enquiry no.01124657879.
This was like a dream experience for all of us.we all were too much surprised to know about the working of Mausam Bhawan. We all are very thankful to Mr. S. N. Yadav and to the officials of Mausam Bhawan.
हिंदी पखवाड़ा 14.09.09 - 21.09.09
राष्ट्र्भाषा हिंदी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग व उन्न्यन हेतु विद्यालय में प्राथमिक विभाग से लेकर उच्च माध्यमिक स्तर तक प्रार्थना सभा में विविध कार्यक्र्मॊं को हिंदी माला में पिरोया गया । इस संदर्भ में हिंदी के महान साहित्यकारों, कवियॊं के जीवन पर छात्र - छात्राऒं ने प्रार्थना सभा में प्रकाश डाला । विद्यालय के छात्रॊं ने कविता पाठ, संभाषण, वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता, आशुभाषण, अन्त्याक्षरी आदि प्रतियोगिताऒं में बढ़ - चढ़ कर भाग लिया । विद्यालय के समस्त शिक्षकॊं एवं कर्मचारियॊं ने हिंदी का अधिकाधिक प्रयॊग करने का प्रयास किया । इस प्रकार हिंदी के विभिन्न कार्यक्र्मॊं के आयोजन से हिंदी भाषा के महत्व, प्रचार - प्रसार को व्यापक एवं लॊकप्रिय बनाया गया । विद्यार्थियॊं में हिंदी के प्रति रुचि एवं जाग्ररुकता उत्पन्न कर वातावरण को हिन्दीमय बनाया गया ।
Ledership Development Workshop on 29.03.10 and 30.03.10
Leadership Development Workshop held at KV Pitampura on 29.03.10 and 30.03.10. Mrs. Abhilasha, Member VMC , Dr. A.K. Sharma, Principal, Mr. S. S Mann, Vice Principal and Mrs. B. K. Sodhi, HM guided students to be good leaders.Students enjoyed a lot. Mrs. Pramila Mishra presented students on the topic"can you lead". After refreshing tea break, Mrs. Kinra took wonderful activities with students and presented them with 'Role and responsibilities of students". Day 1 of Leadership development workshop went wonderful, beneficial and appreciated by all.
Day 2 of Leadership development Workshop started with encouraging and effective presentaion of Mrs. B.K. Sodhi on Classroom jobs of a monitor. Mr. S. S. Mann, Vice Principal guided students on need and maintainance of discipline in school. Mr Pradeep, TGT S.St. took over with one more refreshing session on types of leaderships. Mrs. Kamla Devi, PGT Hindi told students about various responsibilities including first aid. Students got refreshed by a Tea Break. Ms. Isha Bhatia, PGT Computer Science took a wonderful activity session on Leadership qualities. Mr. S. N. yadav gave presentation on "Conflict Management". In the last session, students gave their feed back and were given certificate of participation. Students were really happy and enjoyed a lot.
